JIC RELEASE NO. 1072 - COVID-19 Test Results: 121 New Cases, Eight Hospitalized; Additional COVID-19 Updates

COVID-19 Test Results: 121 New Cases Reported

Today, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) reported 121 new cases of COVID-19 from 2,119 specimens collected June 15, 2022. 23 of the cases reported today are through the Department of Defense. To date, there have been a total of 50,485 officially reported cases, 370 deaths, 597 cases in active isolation, and 49,518 not in active isolation.

COVID-19 Test Results: 147 New Cases Reported

Today, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) reported 147 new cases of COVID-19 from 999 specimens collected June 14, 2022. 27 of the cases reported today are through the Department of Defense. To date, there have been a total of 50,364 officially reported cases, 370 deaths, 536 cases in active isolation, and 49,458 not in active isolation.

370th COVID-19-related Fatality Reported

Today, the Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 370th COVID-19-related fatality was pronounced dead on arrival at the Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) on June 12, 2022. The patient was a 56-year-old female, fully vaccinated with one booster, with underlying health conditions, who tested positive on June 12.

Two COVID-19-related Fatalities Reported

Today, the Joint Information Center was notified of two COVID-19-related fatalities:

  • The 368th COVID-19-related fatality was pronounced dead on arrival at the Guam Memorial Hospital (GMH) on June 10, 2022. The patient was a 91-year-old female, fully vaccinated with one booster, with underlying health conditions, who tested positive on June 9.

COVID-19 Test Results: 156 New Cases Reported 

Today, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) reported 156 new cases of COVID-19 from 503 specimens collected June 9, 2022. 24 of the cases reported today are through the Department of Defense. To date, there have been a total of 49,935 officially reported cases, 367 deaths, 576 cases in active isolation, and 48,992 not in active isolation.

Today, the Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 367th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Regional Medical City on June 9, 2022. The patient was a 77-year-old female, fully vaccinated with one booster, with underlying health conditions, who tested positive on March 21.

Today, the Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 366th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Memorial Hospital on June 7, 2022. The patient was a 74-year-old female, fully vaccinated without a booster, with underlying health conditions, who tested positive on May 27.
