Two COVID-19-related Fatalities Reported
The Joint Information Center was notified of two (2) COVID-19-related fatalities:

Flood Advisory Issued for Guam; Practice Caution While Driving

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for Guam until 7:45 a.m. Up to an inch of rain has already fallen, and an additional one inch or more is expected through 7:45 a.m.

Moderate to heavy showers are expected to produce minor flooding of roads, low-lying areas and other poor-drainage areas. Through today, it is expected to be mostly cloudy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. Numerous locally heavy showers are expected this morning.

Flash Flood Warning Now in Effect; Avoid Driving through Flooded Roads

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office has upgraded to a flash flood warning for Guam, in effect until 1 p.m. Flash flooding is imminent, especially for areas near steep terrain. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have already fallen, with a rain rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches is possible.

 Expected impacts include flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Flood Advisory in Effect; Practice Caution on the Roadways

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued an urban and small stream flood advisory, in effect for Guam until 12:45 p.m. Heavy rain approaching Guam, particularly central and northern Guam, will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen over parts of Guam already. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected for Guam through 12:30 p.m. This additional rainfall will result in minor flooding.

Flood Advisory in Effect; Avoid Flooded Roads

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a small stream flood advisory, in effect for Guam until 7:15 p.m. Heavy rain will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen. Additional rainfall of up to two inches is expected.

Some locations that will experience flooding include Dededo, Tamuning, Yigo, Mangilao, Chalan Pago-Ordot, Barrigada, Yona, Agana Heights, Andersen AFB, Talofofo, Mongmong-Toto-Maite, Sinajana, Inarajan, Asan, Merizo, Piti, Santa Rita, and Umatac.
