Two COVID-19-related Fatalities Reported
The Joint Information Center was notified of two (2) COVID-19-related fatalities:

Three COVID-19-related Fatalities Reported
The Joint Information Center was notified of three (3) COVID-19-related fatalities that occurred between October 10 – 12. 

  • The 215th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) on October 10. The patient was a 73-year-old female, unvaccinated, with underlying health conditions. She tested positive on September 16, 2021.

Two COVID-19-related Fatalities Reported

The Joint Information Center was notified of two (2) COVID-19-related fatalities that occurred between October 8 and October 9:

  • The 213th COVID-19 related fatality occurred at the U.S. Naval Hospital (USNH) Guam on October 8, 2021. The patient was a 50-year-old male, vaccinated, with underlying health conditions. He tested positive on October 8. 

Flood Advisory Issued for Guam; Practice Caution While Driving

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for Guam until 3 p.m. Between a half inch and one inch of rain has already fallen, and additional rainfall amounts of another half inch to one inch are expected.

 

Flooding of roads, low-lying areas and other poor-drainage areas is expected. The community is reminded to take the following precautionary actions:

Thunderstorm Advisory in Effect; Practice Caution on the Roadways

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a thunderstorm advisory, in effect for the Guam International Airport until 11:30 p.m. this evening. Thunderstorms are possible or occurring within 20 nautical miles of the airport. Be alert and take precautions as required. If lightning is seen or thunder is heard, remain indoors.
