Two COVID-19-Related Fatalities Reported
The Joint Information Center was notified of two (2) COVID-19-related fatalities:

Small Craft Advisory Now in Effect through Midnight

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast issued a small craft advisory for the coastal waters of Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan, in effect until midnight tonight.

East winds of 15 to 25 knots with occasional gusts up to 35 knots in showers and seas of 6 to 8 feet with occasional 9 feet are expected. Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid boating in hazardous conditions.

Hazardous Seas Remain; Inexperienced Swimmers Reminded to Stay Out of the Water

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office advisories remain in effect:

small craft advisory remains in effect for the coastal waters of Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan until 6 p.m. this evening. East winds of 15 to 20 knots with gusts up to 25 knots and seas of 6 to 8 feet are expected. Winds are expected to diminish by this evening. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.
