Tropical Storm Watch in Effect, Man-yi (25W) Continuing Towards Marianas

The National Weather Service (NWS), Weather Forecast Office Guam issued a Tropical Storm Watch in Effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian and Saipan. A tropical storm watch means that tropical storm conditions including winds of 39 mph or greater are possible as early as Tuesday night or Wednesday.

Tropical Storm Man-Yi is currently 505 miles East of Guam. Maximum sustained winds remain at 40 mph. Man-yi is forecast to slowly intensify the next couple of days, including as it passes through the Marianas. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to 40 miles.

Currently Guam has an active Small Craft Advisory in effect from 600pm Tuesday until 600am Thursday and Rip Current Statement in effect.
