Press Release – High Surf Advisory Extended until 6am Wednesday

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office extended the High Surf Advisory in effect for Guam until 6am Wednesday.

Large breaking waves of 6 to 9 feet are in the surf zone. This is affecting the west facing reefs of the Marianas.

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense remind residents that inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.
