No Immediate Threat Assessed from Reported North Korea Missile Launch

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in conjunction with the Mariana Regional Fusion Center (MRFC), federal and military partners, continue to monitor events surrounding the region including reports of the recent launch of an unidentified projectile out of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), today.

“Although no immediate threat was assessed for Guam or the Marianas, it is important to remain vigilant as this type of activity has been more prevalent in the previous months,” said Homeland Security Advisor, Samantha Brennan. “For information on how to prepare for all hazards and all threats, visit ghs.guam.gov where fact sheets were made readily available.”
