JIC Recovery Release No. 118 - Refrain from Illegal Dumping After Your Village is Completed; Ineligible Debris is the Responsibility of the Resident


While The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) debris mission continues to move forward, FEMA would like to remind residents that once each category of debris has been picked-up in a neighborhood or village, USACE will not be returning to that area for additional debris removal.
   

No Immediate Threat to Marianas Assessed from Reported North Korea Launch

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in conjunction with the Mariana Regional Fusion Center (MRFC), federal and military partners, continue to monitor events surrounding the region including reports of the recent launch of an unidentified projectile out of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) today.

Flood Advisory in Effect; Drive with Caution

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office maintains a flood advisory, in effect until 9:15 p.m. this evening for Southern Guam. Heavy rain and thunderstorms will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have already fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected.
