JIC RELEASE NO. 37 - Profiles of Earlier Confirmed Cases; GDOE Expands Grab-N-Go Program; DPHSS Updates

The Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) tested 23 individuals for COVID-19 on Sunday, March 29, 2020 with conclusive results. One (1) tested positive through DPHSS and 22 tested negative for SARS-CoV-2. The DPHSS overall count also includes two positive cases that were tested by the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) in San Diego. Additional results will be provided later this evening once today’s test results are finalized. 
   

No Immediate Threat Assessed from Reported North Korea Missile Test

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in conjunction with the Mariana Regional Fusion Center (MRFC), federal and military partners, continue to monitor events surrounding the region including reports of the recent launch of an unidentified short-range projectile out of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), this morning. 

 

JIC RELEASE NO. 35 - Four Test Positive for COVID-19; Seven Patients Recover from COVID-19; Governor Leon Guerrero Signs Executive Order 2020-07; Presidential Disaster Declaration Approved

The Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) tested 18 individuals for COVID-19 on Saturday, March 28, 2020 with conclusive results. Four (4) tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 and 14 tested negative for SARS-CoV-2.
   

JIC RELEASE NO. 32 - GMHA Suspends Viewing of the Deceased; GBHWC Telehealth Counseling Services Available; DPHSS Division Updates

The Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) tested 37 individuals for COVID-19 on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 with conclusive results. Five tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 and 32 tested negative for SARS-CoV-2. The Government of Guam (GovGuam) is aggressively implementing its COVID-19 response to identify and contain transmission of COVID-19 in Guam. With any change in status, anticipate timely notification.
