JIC RELEASE NO. 1028 - Cumulative COVID-19 Test Results: 31 New Cases, Five Hospitalized; Second COVID-19 Booster Doses Available; Food Commodities Distribution Continues April 22; SNAP Supplemental Emergency Allotment (EA) Issuances for April 2022; Mangi

Today, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) reported 31 new cases of COVID-19 from 323 specimens analyzed on April 20, 2022. Three of the cases reported today are through the Department of Defense. To date, there have been a total of 47,902 officially reported cases, 354 deaths, 269 cases in active isolation, and 47,279 not in active isolation.
   

No Immediate Threat Assessed from Reported North Korea Missile Launch

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in conjunction with the Mariana Regional Fusion Center (MRFC), federal and military partners, continue to monitor events surrounding the region including reports of the recent launch of an unidentified projectile out of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) today.
