Flood Advisory in Effect; Practice Caution on the Roadways

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a flood advisory for southwestern Guam, in effect until 2:30 p.m. this afternoon. Heavy rain near Merizo and Apra Harbor will cause minor flooding. One to three inches of rain occurred in the area in the last hour. Additional rainfall amounts of up to two inches are possible 
 
   

Flood Advisory in Effect; Practice Caution on the Roadways

The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued an urban and small stream flood advisory, in effect until 2:30 p.m. this afternoon. Heavy rain from thunderstorms will cause flooding. Between 1 and 1.4 inches of rain have already fallen. Additional rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is expected over the area. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas are expected over roadways.
   

JIC RELEASE NO. 1095 - COVID-19 Test Results: 150 New Cases, 26 Hospitalized; COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Sites Closed July 21-22; Additional COVID-19 Updates

The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 377th COVID-19-related fatality was pronounced dead on arrival at the U.S. Naval Hospital (USNH) Guam on July 13, 2022. The patient was a 14-year-old male, fully vaccinated without a booster, with underlying health conditions who tested positive on July 13. 
   

JIC RELEASE NO. 1094 - COVID-19 Test Results: 148 New Cases, 22 Hospitalized; COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Sites Closed July 21-22; Additional COVID-19 Updates

Today, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) reported 148 new cases of COVID-19 from 1,478 specimens collected July 18, 2022. Twenty-six (26) of the cases reported today are through the Department of Defense. To date, there have been a total of 54,013 officially reported cases, 376 deaths, 939 cases in active isolation, and 52,698 not in active isolation.
