GHS/OCD to Host 2018 Statewide Communications Interoperability Plan Workshop

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in coordination with the Statewide Interoperability Coordinator, and the Department of Homeland (DHS) Office of Emergency Communications (OEC), is hosting the 2018 Statewide Communications Interoperability Plan (SCIP) Workshop on October 23 - 24, 2018 at the GHS/OCD facility in Agana Heights from 8:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.

Nationwide Emergency Alert System Test Postponed to October

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), has rescheduled the nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) to October 3, 2018, beginning at 2:18 p.m. (EDT), which converts to Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 4:18 a.m. (ChST).

MRFC Closely Monitor International Phone Scam

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) along with the Mariana Regional Fusion Center (MRFC), in coordination with local law enforcement, are closely monitoring reports of local numbers receiving calls from international numbers beginning in +881.
