JIC RELEASE NO. 541 - Results: 30 of 1,121 Test Positive for COVID-19;COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Schedule for January 20-23;Second Dose Reminder Phone Calls; Division of Public Welfare Operations

Thirty (30) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 1,121 tests performed by the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) on Monday, January 18, and tests from additional labs from Friday, January 15 to Monday, January 18. Three (3) cases were identified through contact tracing. Five (5) cases reported recent travel history and were identified in quarantine.

The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 128th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) on January 17, 2021 at approximately 10:36 p.m. The patient was a 39-year-old male with underlying health conditions. He was admitted to GRMC on January 15, 2021 and tested positive upon admission

The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 127th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) on January 17, 2021 at approximately 5:50 a.m. The patient was a 59-year-old male with underlying health conditions. He was admitted to GRMC on January 14, 2021 and was a known positive case.

The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 126th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) on January 15, 2021 at approximately 7:19 p.m. The patient was a 49-year-old male. He was admitted to GRMC earlier that day and tested positive upon admission.

The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 125th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at Guam Memorial Hospital (GMH) last night at approximately 7:50 p.m. The patient was a 58-year-old male with underlying conditions. He was admitted to GMH on December 23, 2020 and tested positive upon admission.

Thirteen (13) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 449 tests performed on Wednesday, January 13. Two (2) cases reported recent travel history and were identified in quarantine.

Fifteen (15) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 506 tests performed on Tuesday, January 12. Three (3) cases were identified through contact tracing. Two (2) cases reported recent travel history and were identified in quarantine.
