Food Commodities Distribution Through Village Mayors Continues
The Guam Department of Education (GDOE), State Agency for the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) under the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Nutrition Service (FNS), continues the distribution of food commodities through each mayor at the village level by drive-thru or door-to-door delivery. Commodity distribution in each village is available to village constituents only and residents should call their respective mayor’s office for more information.
Recipients will receive one bag of TEFAP food commodities per household that may include elbow macaroni, long grain rice, green split peas, yellow split peas, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce, canned pears, mixed fruit, canned pork, canned beef, instant milk, and banana chips. (Frozen orange juice will only be available through drive-thru distribution). Food commodities will be distributed on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last. Participants are reminded to wear a mask, maintain physical distancing, and follow all traffic directions and signage.

One GDOE Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19
The Guam Department of Education (GDOE) has confirmed that one GDOE employee from Talofofo Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19. This case was identified through contact tracing efforts.
The GDOE is working closely with DPHSS to conduct contact tracing and any close contacts of the confirmed case will be contacted directly. Areas of the campus will be cleaned and disinfected as needed. Hard copy packet and food distribution will not be interrupted.
Two Customs Officers Test Positive for COVID-19
The Guam Customs and Quarantine Agency (CQA) has confirmed that two officers at the Guam International Airport Authority (GIAA) tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, thirteen officers remain in home quarantine and have been scheduled for testing. The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) has also initiated its contact tracing investigation.
The Customs Inspection Area, to include the Central Office at GIAA, has been sanitized to ensure a safe work environment for those reporting to work. Customs operations at GIAA remain unaffected.

The Guam Behavioral Health and Wellness Center (GBHWC) has a Crisis Hotline that is available 24/7 at (671) 647-8833/4. For those feeling anxious, stressed, overwhelmed or are needing to talk to someone, GBHWC has experienced providers available and ready to assist the community with any heightened stress and anxiety experienced as a result of COVID-19.
