High Surf Advisory in Effect until 6pm this evening

The National Weather Service (NWS), Weather Forecast Office Guam issued a high surf advisory, in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan, through 6pm this evening.

Large breaking waves of 7 to 10 feet in the surf zone.

Currently along the west facing reefs of Guam, Rota, Tinian and Saipan.

Expect dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.

The offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense remind residents that inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to the dangerous surf conditions.
