The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in conjunction with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), will host the following training opportunities at the GHS/OCD facility in Agana Heights:
- Tuesday, July 23 – Wednesday, July 24, 2024, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Disaster Preparedness for Healthcare Organizations within the Community Infrastructure (MGT-341)
- The two-day training is offered at no cost to eligible participants and provides an opportunity for participants to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to help them ensure the sustainability of their resources, facilities, and organizations during all types of disasters.
- The target audience for the course include individuals from the healthcare community who are responsible for ensuring the resiliency of healthcare services during high consequence or catastrophic events, and emergency management partners from the government of Guam, military, federal, private, and non-profit organizations.

- Thursday, July 25 – Friday, July 26, 2024, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Disaster Management for Electric Power Systems (MGT-345)
- The two-day training is offered at no cost to eligible participants and is designed to provide training to electric power system managers and employees to prevent, protect, and mitigate against, respond to, and recover from threatened or actual natural disasters, human-caused and technological disasters affecting electric power facilities and systems.
- The target audience for the course include electric power system managers, and emergency management partners from the government of Guam, military, federal, private, and non-profit organizations.
