The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in conjunction with the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center, will host the Nature Based Solutions for Mitigating Hazards (MGT-484) training on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the GHS/OCD facility in Agana Heights.
The half-day management-level course is offered at no cost to eligible participants and aims to highlight nature-based solutions as important and effective tools for mitigating hazards and climate impacts. The course provides planners, government officials, and hazard mitigation professionals information on the types, applications, and benefits of nature-based solutions as well as the common barriers for their use.
