The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in coordination with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), will host the Medical Management of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) Events (PER-211) training opportunity on Monday, August 26 – Tuesday, August 27, 2024, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the GHS/OCD facility in Agana Heights.
The two-day course is offered at no cost to eligible participants and is meant to address what to do if a catastrophic event occurs, the different levels of protection, decontamination, medications, and how to distinguish between different agents of concern that could be used in an incident.
Attendees for the course include fire services, law enforcement, emergency medical services, medical, and emergency management personnel and partners from the government of Guam, federal, military, private, and non-profit organizations.
