The training addressed topics including pre-operational surveillance, blending and disguise, penetrating perimeter security, motorcade attacks, homicide bombers, complex attacks, improvised explosive devices, diversionary/secondary attacks, and other pertinent topics, with an emphasis on the evolution of attack methods.

Attendees for the course included those that have on-going protective and/or threat/risk assessment responsibilities for public officials, public figures, or critical infrastructures, and participants who have an affiliation and/or work in direct coordination with a law enforcement organization.

“Guam’s location in the region is ideal for those seeking access to the continental United States,” stated Homeland Security Advisor George Charfauros. “We recognize the importance of identifying threat actors and working together to provide secure borders to keep the community and the Nation safe from man-made threats. I want to thank our partners in Public Safety for their collaboration and continued efforts in keeping our communities safe.”
